Who we are

This website and the Linkfluencer platform are operated by Linkfluencer, a French société par actions simplifiée (simplified joint-stock company) with variable capital, registered with the Trade and Companies Register (RCS) of Créteil under number 929 237 451, whose registered office is at 21 Rue du 18 Juin 1940, 94700 Maisons-Alfort, France ("Linkfluencer", "we", "us").

Linkfluencer is the data controller for the personal data collected through the cookies and similar technologies described in this policy.

For any question about this policy or about cookies on our services, contact us at

What this policy covers

What this policy covers

What this policy covers

This policy explains how Linkfluencer uses cookies and similar technologies on:

  • the public website linkfluencer.io and all of its subdomains;

  • the logged-in web applications for brands, creators and shoppers (including any dashboard hosted on a linkfluencer.io subdomain);

  • the Linkfluencer mobile application (Shop, Post & Earn), where the equivalent technologies are SDKs and mobile identifiers rather than browser cookies.

It applies to all visitors and users located in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. It is written to comply with the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC as transposed in the EU Member States (in France, Article 82 of the Loi Informatique et Libertés and the guidelines and recommendations of the CNIL), the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

This policy deals only with cookies and similar technologies. For a complete description of how we process personal data more generally (accounts, cashback claims, receipts, payouts, content), please read our Privacy Policy, available on linkfluencer.io.

What cookies and similar technologies are

What cookies and similar technologies are

What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. It allows the site to recognise your device and to store information such as your session, your preferences or your consent choices. In this policy, "cookies" also covers similar technologies that access or store information on your device, including:

  • local storage and session storage (information stored by your browser for a site);

  • pixels and web beacons (tiny images or code snippets used to measure whether a page or email was viewed);

  • SDKs and mobile identifiers in our mobile application (the app equivalent of cookies).

Cookies can be first-party (set by Linkfluencer) or third-party (set by another company whose technology we embed). They can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a defined period).

What we do not do

What we do not do

What we do not do

Because transparency also means saying what does not happen, the following points reflect how the Linkfluencer platform actually works today:

  • We do not use cookies to track your purchases. Cashback on Linkfluencer works through proof of purchase: you shop with a brand (including in physical stores), then upload your receipt in the app to claim your reward. No advertising or affiliate cookie is placed in your browser to attribute sales.

  • We do not sell your personal data and we do not allow third parties to use our services to build advertising profiles about you across other websites.

  • We do not use fingerprinting or any hidden technique designed to identify your device without your knowledge.

  • We do not set any non-essential cookie before you have given your consent through our cookie banner, and you can refuse as easily as you can accept.

  • Cashback payouts are processed server-side with our regulated electronic money partner; the payout process does not place any cookies on your device.

If we introduce new tools in the future (for example analytics or advertising measurement), we will update this policy and the cookie table on our Cookie Settings page, and we will ask for your consent before any such cookie is activated.

Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required)

These cookies are essential for the site and the platform to function. They enable you to sign in, keep your session secure, submit cashback claims, and record your cookie choices. Under Article 82 of the French Loi Informatique et Libertés and Regulation 6 of the UK PECR, they are exempt from consent. They cannot be switched off through our banner.

Analytics and performance cookies (consent required)

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our site (pages visited, time spent, errors encountered) so that we can improve it. As of the date of this policy, no analytics cookies are deployed on linkfluencer.io.

If we introduce an analytics solution (for example Google Analytics 4 or a privacy-focused

equivalent), we will: (a) list every cookie it sets in the table on the Cookie Settings page; (b) block it until you have consented; (c) configure it to minimise personal data (IP truncation, no cross-site combination); and (d) where the solution qualifies for the CNIL audience-measurement exemption (strictly aggregated, no cross-site tracking, no transfer of data outside the EU), we may operate it without consent, and will say so clearly in the cookie table.

Marketing and advertising cookies (consent required)

These cookies would be used to measure the effectiveness of our own advertising campaigns (for example Google Ads conversion measurement) or to show you relevant Linkfluencer offers. As of the date of this policy, no advertising cookies are deployed. If Google advertising tags are activated in the future, they will only run after your explicit consent, will be listed in the cookie table with their exact names and durations, and Google consent mode will be configured so that no advertising identifier is processed for users who refuse.

Social sign-in (consent required, triggered by your action)

Our web application offers sign-in with third-party identity providers (for example Google or Apple). When you actively choose one of these sign-in methods, the provider sets its own cookies to authenticate you. These cookies are governed by the provider's own policies:

  • Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC: policies.google.com/privacy

  • Apple Distribution International Ltd: apple.com/legal/privacy

If you sign in with your email address instead, none of these third-party cookies are set.

Embedded third-party content (consent required, click-to-load)

Pages of our website may showcase creator content through embedded players from YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. These platforms set their own cookies when their player loads. We use a "click-to-load" approach: the embedded content is replaced by a neutral preview and no third-party cookie is set until you either accept the "embedded content" category in the banner or click on the preview to load that specific content. The relevant providers are:

  • YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd), policies.google.com/privacy

  • Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd), privacycenter.instagram.com

  • TikTok (TikTok Technology Ltd, Ireland), tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy

Third parties and international data transfers

Third parties and international data transfers

Third parties and international data transfers

Where third-party cookies involve a transfer of personal data outside the EU/EEA or the UK (in particular to the United States for Google, Apple and Meta), those transfers are protected by the relevant adequacy mechanisms: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension where the provider is certified, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, together with additional safeguards where required. Details of each provider's mechanism are available on request at team@linkfluencer.io.

Our electronic money partner (ConnectPay UAB, an EU-licensed electronic money institution) processes payout data server-side within the EU and does not set cookies on our website.

The Linkfluencer mobile application

The Linkfluencer mobile application

The Linkfluencer mobile application

The mobile app uses technologies equivalent to cookies: secure device storage for your session and preferences, and SDKs strictly necessary for the app to run (crash reporting limited to technical data, security, receipt upload). The same principles apply as on the web:

  • no advertising SDK and no advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) is used without your prior consent;

  • on iOS, any future tracking within the meaning of Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework would require your permission through the ATT prompt;

  • you can review and change your choices at any time in the app settings, and through your device settings (iOS: Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking; Android: Settings, Google, Ads).

  • Firefox: support.mozilla.org (search "cookies")

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies in your browser may prevent you from signing in or claiming cashback.

Your rights

Your rights

Where cookies involve personal data, you have the rights provided by the GDPR and the UK GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. How to exercise these rights is described in our Privacy Policy; you can always write to team@linkfluencer.io.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr); in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); or the authority of the EU country where you live.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy at least once a year and whenever we add, remove or change a cookie or a third-party provider. The version number and date at the top of this document identify the current version. If a change introduces a new purpose or a new third party requiring consent, the banner will be shown again so that you can make a fresh choice.
